ようこそ、久池井研究室へ・Welcome to Kuchii Lab!
The research in this laboratory is mainly based on the three engineering pillars of mechanics, control and information.
We are conducting research using each technology, in order to gain understanding, and use it to develop for industry.

Developing human resources for digital manufacturing
Kitakyushu National College of Technology | Dassault Systèmes
In modern manufacturing, which is becoming increasingly diversified, made-to-order, multi-location and overseas, MOM, a 'manufacturing management technology' that manages the 'arrangement and flow of goods, information and people', is used to train personnel to drive scientific communication between 'management' and 'manufacturing sites'.
The company is also developing human resources to drive scientific communication between 'management' and 'manufacturing sites'.
Learning Innovation Grand Prix 2022
Digital manufacturing human resource development for sustainable innovation.
Demonstration model project for building a training system using XR
We have built a training system using VR and AR, which was adopted by the FY2022 Technology Cooperation and Emerging Market Development Project.
This is an effort to realize an environment and system that allows many people, both in Japan and overseas, to "get interested," "learn," and "grow" in machinery.
AGV
The need for unmanned guided vehicles (Automated Guided Vehicles) has been increasing in various manufacturing sites and logistics warehouses in recent years.
In collaboration with Heads Corporation (https://headscorp.co.jp/), we have developed the basic technology for a new way of being in a factory, which does not limit the robot's area of activity or line changes.
Patent No. 6779484.
Follobo
The laboratory has developed its own unmanned transport robot, Follobo.
Electric assist function: reduces the force required to push the trolley during transport.
Duck running function: Follobo can identify the target to be tracked and follow it at regular intervals.
Collision avoidance function: detects obstacles and automatically stops the vehicle.
Various research projects based on this technology are also being undertaken.

Key Points of this School
First of its kind in Japan! An executive business school where students can learn about international standard operations in a hands-on way.
The school is based on a curriculum developed under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's 'Industry-University Collaboration Digital Manufacturing Core Human Resources Development Project'.
It supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to realise growth strategies, expand globally and build capacity for smooth business operations.
The school provides an opportunity to learn the key points of manufacturing digital transformation in With Corona and After Corona.
A special course will be held with the author of the novel "The Fourth Industrial Revolution" as a lecturer to convince top management to respond to the transformation to Industry 4.0.
Education to support employment and career change by focusing on DX and other growth sectors.
Key points of this School
'Increasing uncertainty (VUCA)', 'addressing sustainability' and 'addressing labour shortages' are all major challenges facing the manufacturing industry. Data management in manufacturing is becoming increasingly essential to meet these challenges.
In modern manufacturing, which is becoming increasingly multi-product, made-to-order, multi-location and overseas in the future, the aim is to develop human resources who can drive scientific communication between 'management' and 'manufacturing sites' by making full use of 'manufacturing management technology' (manufacturing execution system (MES)) to manage the 'arrangement and flow of goods, information and people'.
